Ancient Greece considered Delphi to be the center of the world. Legend says Zeus sent two eagles from the east and west to find the center of the earth. The intersection of the eagles overlapped at Delphi.

Trying to harness my inner Greek Goodess.

Delphi was built on a fault and ley line and which supposedly had ethylene type gasses seeing through the cracks, putting the oracles in a trance like state getting them ready to make their future predictions.

The Omphalos Stone! Zeus's mother saved Zeus's by feeding this stone swaddled in clothes to Zeus's father, Cronus. Why? Because Cronus was afraid his children would overpower him, so logical thing to do...eat them.

This is an example of what not to do. We definitely got yelled at for taking these pictures. NO posing allowed out of respect. Our mistake, much respect for the site.

Always have to take a picture at an ancient track. It's a runner thing.
